Tips
for Success
Keep a box, bag, etc. of toys or craft supplies tucked away for special occasions. These are toys they don't get to play with on a regular basis. Only when you're working from home, trying to make a phone call, etc. Any time you need five minutes peace. |

Greetings!
Summer is coming to an end. It's time to get ready for the start of school. The thought of having to buy school supplies, clothes, bookbags, lunch boxes and everything else can be a bit overwhelming.
I've included two articles to help with this sometimes daunting task. One that shows you ways to send your kids back to school for less, and the next on how to come up with money quickly so you can afford all that shopping. Hope these help :) Have a wonderful August!

Send Your Kids Back to School for Less |
Does the thought of Back to School shopping send your wallet into hiding?
Don't worry, here are a couple things to consider before beginning your back to school excursion.
Stick to the List Most school systems now give out a school supplies list well before the first day of school. Use this list and try not to add to it.
Shop the Sales With your list in hand grab those sale papers and plan your attack. Look to see what stores have what on sale. If you know your little one will only use XYZ brand notebook because it has his favorite character look for which store sells it for less. Yes, you may have to visit more than one store to get the best deals. Just take into account gas mileage. Also, shop at the end of the season for the best deals.
Consider Second Hand Other places to consider when back to school clothes shopping are consignment, second-hand, and even eBay. You may be able to find high quality, even new items, for considerably less. Plus, reputable second hand stores won't even accept clothes that have stains, rips or tears in them. No one needs to know where you actually bought them from.
Determine Your Needs A really important thing to consider is does your little one really NEED it. Does he really need that whole new wardrobe or will a couple pieces throughout the year work better? They will probably out grow them in no time anyways.
If it is a need make sure you get the best quality for your money. Gym shoes are a prime example of this. Do your child's shoes get a hole in them just a few weeks after you bought them?
Just a few things to consider as you set out for back to school shopping. Remember stick to a list, shop the sales, consider second hand, and determine if it's a want or need.

Make $200+ This Week |
At some point in almost everyone's life they will need a way to come up with extra cash quickly. Whether it be for auto repairs, doctor bills, you name it. I've compiled a list of some jobs almost anyone can do with very little planning time.
* Have a yard sale/garage sale
* Sell some of your stuff on eBay, Craigslist, Yahoo Auctions, etc.
* Sell some of your stuff to a pawn shop
* Cutting lawns
* Hold a car wash
* Babysit
* Weed flowerbeds
* Walk dogs
* Clean gutters
* Rake Leaves
* Shovel snow off sidewalks and driveways
* Lemonaide stand
* Fruit/Vegetable stand
* Shampoo carpets
* Paint houses, rooms, fences
* Mend, sew, hem, repair clothes
* Misc. small repair jobs
These are just a few. Use your imagination. Think of your skills and see what you can come up with.
These are also great jobs for teens who want to buy something like saving up for a car, designer fashions, or the latest iPod or computer, and don't have the cash.
